Abstract
SOCIAL Wadala is a Gothic-inspired restaurant built around metal and concrete. Double-decker seating, plastered metal sheets and rough concrete walls establish its industrial character. A monolithic concrete floor and open bar extend this material language across the room.

Project story
In the old town of Wadala, this SOCIAL is designed as a rustic, Gothic experience. Built primarily from metal and concrete, the restaurant leans into a raw, industrial character, with an experimental double-decker seating structure constructed entirely from plastered metal sheets and concrete walls.
The material honesty runs through everything: a custom monolithic concrete floor, an open bar layout, and surfaces left rough where most restaurants would polish them. The result is a Gothic-inspired room unlike anything else in the neighborhood.
A room built from metal and concrete
The double-decker seating structure extends the restaurant vertically. Stair, frame and mesh details show its parts; rough concrete, cast lettering and numbered table edges carry the same raw character into the furnishings.
